Momentum is growing in both the NYS Senate and NYS Assembly to prioritize child care in the state budget this year.  We cannot wait any longer to stabilize and rebuild the network of quality child care providers that is essential to families and our economy. We cannot wait any longer to ensure that families can find affordable care that is responsive to their needs. We cannot wait any longer to provide just compensation to Early Care Educators who are providing a safe, caring and fundamental environment for our children during their most formative years. We cannot continue to rely on the unpaid and underpaid caregiving of thousands of women to keep our economy moving;. Investments in child care have been demonstrated to have an amazing “return on investment.”
