On January 20th, 2015, cities across the United States will discuss and explore the benefits of implementing CEDAW at the local level.

The Metro NY Chapter of the U.S. National Committee for UN Women, in collaboration withCouncilwoman Laurie A. Cumbo – Chair of the Committee on Women’s Issues, will host an expert panel in conjunction with the Cities for CEDAW National Conference.

Panelists will discuss CEDAW from the perspective of UN Women, share how the CEDAW ordinance impacted San Francisco and explore the benefits of implementing CEDAW in New York City.
