On May 1, which was International Workers’ Day in the UK, a developer tweeted her job title, professional experience, and how much she makes. This tweet was one that was inspired by years of salary negotiation and fighting to be paid what she is worth.

So what’s the big deal? Disclosing your salary levels the playing field on to whether or not you are being paid fairly, but, can also be a reason why you get fired. This is why we must “#talkpay”
